Running the Registration Tool

1. Look for Registration Tool in the GibbsCAM folder in the Windows Start menu. Each version of GibbsCAM you have installed has its own Registration Tool, so make sure you run the one for the version of GibbsCAM you are using.

2. The Licensing Utility allows you to send license registration data and obtain and manage licenses for several different types of GibbsCAM installations:

Select "Hardware Locked" if you are utilizing any of the following licensing options:

• USB Standalone License.
• Keyless Timed license.
• GibbsCAM GO Viewer license.

For the Network License, select "Network License Client".

3. Click the Run Registration Tool... link.

4. Enter your Product Code from your order materials and click Next.

5. Enter your customer information and click Next.

6. Click "Finish". 

7. You should see a message dialog resembling the following. When you click "OK", your installation of GibbsCAM has been authenticated.

Registering License - not deploying

If nothing happens when you click "Finish", this indicates that your computer is not giving you permission to overwrite the file that is already in that folder.  There are two possible ways to get around this:

1) You can run the Registration Tool in administrator mode by right-clicking on the icon for the Registration Tool and telling it to Run as Administrator. (If you don't see the option after right clicking, go to Properties and look in the Compatibility tab).

2) If that does not work you can go into the folder location where it is trying to deploy the license file (seen on the first screen of the Registration Tool as Deployment Destination) and deleting any license file that is already in there.
